Ticket Kedise is the new chairman of the Botswana National Front (BNF) southern region. Kedise defeated former Lobatse Member of Parliament (MP) Otlaadisa Koosaletse during elections held in Moshupa over the weekend.

The region held its elective congress after the old committee’s time elapsed. Only the post for chairmanship was contested for while the rest of the committee positions were unopposed.

The congress was attended by seven constituencies, namely, Kanye South, Kanye North, Jwaneng-Mabutsane, Mmathethe-Molapowabojang, Moshupa-Manyana, Lobatse and Goodhope-Mabule. The BNF has embarked on reviving party structures in their regions and constituencies in preparation for the party congress on July.
