KDC Chairperson Decries Constituency Projects Delays

Kweneng council is worried about some of the delays on constituency projects. When addressing full council last week, Jeffrey Sibisibi said a total of 131 projects are still ongoing while 107 are yet to commence.

Kweneng District Council (KDC) was allocated P80 million to undertake constituency projects throughout the district, with each constituency (of the eight) in the district getting P10 million.

“As at the end of April 2018, expenditure stood at P17,9 million with six projects completed. Admittedly, the delay in delivery of these projects is worrisome. While we acknowledge that procurement for these projects took long, supply of construction materials, especially bricks also took a long time.
