FRANCISTOWN: Letlhakane police are digging into a tragic end to illegal gambling where events took a sinister turn when an elderly man turned his counterpart into a victim of murder.

In an update on the situation, Superintendent Michael Maphephu, the station commander at Letlhakane, revealed that they’re probing a murder case. The unfortunate event took place when a 35-year-old man from Mmea was fatally stabbed by a 50-year-old resident of the same village.

Maphephu said the two individuals had been clashing throughout the week, and their escalating disagreements ultimately culminated in this brutal killing. "The incident unfolded on Saturday at around 9:45pm in the bush where they had gathered with others to play illegal games for money," detailed the Letlhakane police chief.
