A two-bedroomed house was reduced to ashes in a fire accident that occurred over the weekend at Modipane village. The cause of the fire could not be ascertained and no injuries were reported at press time.

Tlokweng Police Station commander, Superintendent Unoziba Rari told The Monitor that the tragedy was reported Saturday morning at around 9am by the victim’s neighbours.

“A passerby saw the house burning and alerted the victim’s neighbours and the police. The cost of the damage has not yet been established and there was neither human loss nor injury as the sole tenant was away at work,” he said.
