'Hitchhiking' trio robs woman of Madza CX5

A 41-year-old woman allegedly stopped for a hitchhiker posing as a mother of a newborn on Saturday night only for the woman and her accomplices to steal her Madza CX5 at the Mmatseta village turn-off along Kopong Road.

Mogoditshane Police Station commander, Superintendent Mbiganyi Letsholathebe said the incident occurred on Saturday night at around 10pm.

Letsholathebe said the victim who was driving from Gaborone said it was at around 10pm when she saw a woman who appeared to be carrying a baby hitchhiking in Metsimotlhabe at a bus stop opposite Saverite. She stopped to give her a lift.
