Ketlogetse Makwanye’s life was changed recently when she was given the keys to a two-bedroomed house. Prior to the handover, she had spent most of her life living in a shack built with a couple of bricks about 1.5 meters high and three meters wide, along with her five grandchildren.
Dico Bademhorsft, owner of Filtration Africa who were one of the major sponsors of the project, said that when he first came to Makwanye’s home he could not believe his eyes and did not think that there were people still living in such conditions in modern times.
