A total of five people, three men and two women died in a road mishap yesterday afternoon along the A10 road near Tsopana lands between Moshupa and Thamaga.

Four of the deceased, three men and a woman who were in a Toyota Sprinter burnt beyond recognition after their car collided with a Toyota Corolla. Confirming the fatal accident to Mmegi, No: 14 district traffic officer, Superintendent Selogilwe Sefawe said the Toyota Corolla vehicle had two people on board, the driver and a passenger who lost her life on the spot.

“The Toyota Corolla driver who sustained serious injuries was in the company of a 64-year-old female passenger who died on the spot. Investigations are ongoing to establish the identity of the four people who were travelling in a Toyota sprinter that caught fire during the accident and burnt beyond recognition,” Sefawe said.
