Five dams overflowing

WUC announced this morning in a press statement and it has raised a warning for a possibility of more dams overflowing as rain continues to pour down heavily. “Other dams across the country are also reaching capacity levels as they continue to impound water,” a statement from WUC reads in part.

It added: “The corporation warns the public to be on high alert from potential flood from these dams. Secondary water users like fishermen are also encouraged to exercise caution around dams and all water sources during this time." Meanwhile Gaborone Dam was at 71% capacity as of this morning.
