FRANCISTOWN: A 40-year-old gardener accusing of murdering his three sons Boikanyo France was finally arraigned before Francistown Magistrate court today after eight straight days on the run.
France is charged with three counts of murder and one count of unlawful wounding. According to the charge sheet, on or about July 17, 2024 at or near Mmoroso ward in Tatisiding village in the North East France murdered his sons.
The charge sheet alleges that after France allegedly gruesomely murdered his children, he unlawfully wounded his mother by stabbing her with a knife. Prosecutor Moffat Dick applied for plea to be reserved in the matter because the accused was just arrested yesterday at night around 8pm.
Dick then made an application for the Investigations Officer (IO) to advance reasons why the accused should be remanded in custody. However, Magistrate Ditebogo Ntuli said that since the matter will be dealt with by another magistrate, she was constrained to deal with the issue of bail. Ntuli then remanded France in custody. He will appear in court on July 30.
