Failing youth empowerment schemes worry Masire

Former president, Sir Ketumile Masire, is worried that the government keeps pouring money into youth empowerment schemes that do not yield satisfactory results.

Speaking at a press conference yesterday, he said that because of the failing schemes, his foundation has started development programmes to respond to youth needs.

The Sir Ketumile Masire Foundation is currently hosting youth dialogue forums to discuss various topics with partners. The foundation intends to inspire youth with its annual programmes such as youth summit on leadership and governance.

The Projects Magazine today launched The Future of Mining Summit, set to become the country’s premier mining conference. The event is scheduled for 12th and 13th of June 2024, at Boipuso Hall, Fairgrounds in Gaborone.
