Doctor confirms penetration in former lecturer's rape case

State witness Dr. Odirile Mogolwane has confirmed that sexual penetration occurred in a case involving Brothers Malema's alleged rape of a student last year.

Malema, a retired University of Botswana professor and former Botswana Congress Party member is accused of raping an 18 year old girl (names withheld) in January. The alleged rape incident is said to have occurred during recess when the victim went to the lecturer’s office to inquire about her marks.

It is alleged that Malema raped the student for an opportunity award her better marks.
