Deputy mayor defends SPEDU

SELEBI-PHIKWE: The deputy mayor of Selebi-Phikwe Molefi Pilane has defended SPEDU after some residents slammed the organisation for failing to introduce economic diversification initiatives in the area.

This emerged in meeting addressed by the Member of Parliament for Selebi-Phikwe West Dithapelo Keorapetse on Wednesday at Kagiso Kgotla.

Pilane refuted the accusations of failure thrown at SPEDU by residents, explaining that SPEDU’s mandate is to come up with recommendations of economic diversification initiatives that can be implemented in the area.
