Debswana employs over 5,000

Parliament has been informed that Debswana employs 5,385 people, with two percent of the positions held by expatriates.

The minister of Minerals, Energy and Water Resources, Kitso Mokaila said the two percent translates to 105 people.

Mokaila was responding to a question from Boteti East Member of Parliament, Sethomo Lelatisitswe who had asked if the minister is aware that Debswana operations at its mines in Jwaneng, Orapa-Letlhakane and Damtshaa has fully localised except for a few posts.
