Crime statistics decline in Francistown

FRANCISTOWN: Statistics availed by the Central Police Station (CPS) indicate that there was a slight decrease in offences involving businesses, recorded between January and July this year, compared to last year.

The crimes included robbery, store break-ins, burglary and theft and house break-in and theft. There were 149 cases recorded this year compared to 154 last year.

The 'low income' locations of  Monarch, Somerset East and Phase Six fall under the CPS's policing area. Middle income locations such as Phase 5, Government Camp, Area L, Area G and the city's Central Business District (CBD) are also among areas under the jurisdiction of the CPS.
