City mayor's epic marathon nears

The much-anticipated Gaborone City Mayor’s Marathon scheduled for September 22 is right on track and the mayor, Kagiso Thutlwe is confident that the marathon will bring the city to a standstill.

On the day, the Gaborone City Council in conjunction with Club Media will be hosting the third instalment of the ‘Mayor’s Marathon’, which targets to mobilise at least 5,000-plus people for participation, including companies, education institutions, churches as well as interested individuals.

Thutlwe said the main objective of the event, is amongst others, “to revive and re-ignite the city’s spark of being the ultimate tourism and investment destination as well as to bring the city’s communities together to promote good health and healthy living”.
