BSN donates to Rankoromane

OTSE: After walking from the north to the south end of Botswana in June, members of the Botswana Student Network society (BSN) donated some of the proceeds raised from the 703 kilometre hike to Camphill Community Rankoromane in Otse last Saturday.

Dubbed Border-to-Border: From Ramokgwebane to Ramatlabama, the walk took the entire month of June to complete and had the dual objectives of raising funds for the newly established organisation and awareness of its existence.

A press release from the founder and chairperson of BSN, Lillian Moremi, says the walk was also an endeavour to extend BSN functions to social responsibility towards fulfilment of Vision 2016. "We find it fit to give back to the community as a key aim of the walk," Moremi said when she handed over a cheque of P5,000 to Rankoromane.
