BQA investigates FCTVE bogus courses

The Botswana Qualifications Authority (BQA) is investigating the troubled Francistown College of Technical and Vocational Education (FCTVE), following a weeklong and now closure of the college. Correspondent PINI BOTHOKO reports

Almost every year, the college is hit by student protests over a number of issues ranging from poor meals and unaccredited courses offered.

The protest, two weeks ago, over unaccredited courses got the attention of the authorities, leading to the temporary closure of the college last week Friday.

Following a horrific accident which claimed the lives of seven South African pilgrims at Ranaka junction on Sunday, the government has revealed that efforts are underway to repatriate the bodies to the neighbouring country.
