BNFYL still governed by old constitution

The Botswana National Front Youth League (BNFYL) has for many years been governed by an outdated constitution, which has forced it to depend on that of its mother body.

A draft constitution was promulgated by former BNFYL president, Nelson Ramaotwana in 2007, but was never adopted.

Outgoing president, Kemonye Makatane confirmed yesterday that the past youth leagues never called for a constitutional congress to amend the draft and adopt it.
