BMD youth league members attack each other

Former Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) Ramotswa candidate MP Rodger Mphafe has blamed the current Botswana Movement for Democracy Youth League (BMDYL) for poor working relations with other youth structures in the country.

Mphafe said the current BMD youth league had not established relations with structures such as Botswana National Youth Council (BNYC) to engage them in empowering youth. “The current youth league leadership continues to attack and sabotage potential youth in our movement.

They see them as a threat rather than as pillars of our movement,” Mphafe wrote on Facebook. He also dismissed the current president, Phenyo Segokgo and his remaining three active members, saying they were clueless on the needs of the youth. “They are ignorant to pertinent issues such as dwindling education results, youth unemployment, corruption and alcohol abuse.
