FRANCISTOWN: Two hopefuls for the chairmanship of the Botswana Democratic Party’s National Youth Executive Committee, Simon Mavange and Ronald Kgathi have reached a compromise and merged their lobby groups ahead of the weekend elections.

Mavange and Kgathi were originally billed to contest for the youth wing chairmanship at the elections slated for Tsabong.

Under the compromise deal, which was reached on Monday afternoon in Palapye, Mavange has settled to challenge for the position of chairman while Kgathi will contest for the position of secretary general.
