BDP speechless as Nasha leaves

The Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) has declined to comment on the weekend departure of one of its oldest members, former Speaker of the National Assembly, Dr Margaret Nasha.

“There is nothing much we can say apart from confirming that indeed Nasha has resigned. She has exercised her democratic right. There is no party that can be happy to lose a member to another party,” Fish Pabalinga said.

Pabalinga, the chairman of BDP communications and public relations committee, yesterday confirmed that the party received Nasha’s resignation letter on Sunday morning.
