PALAPYE: Ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) Lerala East councillor Kabo Ketshogile, 32, last week appeared before Chief Magistrate Rebecca Motsamai for allegedly having sex with a school going under-age girl.

Ketshogile is alleged to have had sexual intercourse with the complainant in 2011 while the complainant at the time was 15 years old and doing her Form Two at Mmaphula Junior Secondary School (JSS) in Palapye.

The politician was 28 at the time. According to the charge sheet, Ketshogile picked the complainant in his car at Mmaphula JSS after school and he drove to a nearby bush where the duo  romped  in the car. It is also alleged that he returned to pick the girl again  from her house in the evening  near Thogo Ya Monna shopping complex and went to a nearby bush  for yet another round of sex in the bush.
