BCP to decide primaries for F/town West

Botswana Congress Party (BCP) is still to decide on the date of the primary elections for Francistown West.

But lobbying has intensified to the point that some members feel that the party should cancel parliamentary primary elections in that constituency.

Recently, the BCP made history when it sent the first female opposition legislator, Dr Habaudi Hobona to Parliament. Some BCP members in that constituency fear that if Francistown West constituency goes for primaries it is likely to affect its performance during general elections.
