The Botswana Congress Party (BCP) executive committee will meet on Thursday to discuss Phaganyane Phage’s future in the party, after he quit and reversed his decision.

Phage, a former councillor who also contested the Lentsweletau/Mmopane seat in 2014, quit the party on Thursday last week before backtracking on his resignation.

Phage was allegedly recruited to join the ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP), with some democrats quick to post his resignation letter on social media, before he was officially welcomed.
