BCP demands release of audit names, entities

Botswana Congress Party (BCP) president Dumelang Saleshando has questioned the secrecy surrounding the long-awaited forensic audit report, demanding that the government immediately release the names of individuals implicated and make the full report public.

Addressing the media this week, Saleshando argued that Batswana deserve full transparency because the audit was commissioned using the taxpayers’ money.

“We paid for this audit, and Batswana need to know what their money was used for,” Saleshando said.
