Angry GCC councillors query exclusion of motions

Gaborone City Council (GCC) meeting was postponed yesterday after angry councillors queried that their motions were not included in the agenda.

The local authorities were complaining that there was no explanation for the exclusion and threatened to walk out if their demands were not heard. 

Although the city clerk Mpho Mathe tried several times to explain that not all statements qualified as motions, the councillors were adamant that the proceedings would not go ahead without their motions.
