A 24-year-old man of Metsiaela ward, Letlhakane village was on Wednesday night found in possession of 10 packages with an estimated weight of about 50kg suspected to be dagga at the Dibete barrier gate.

When conducting regular searches in a public transport bus that was heading to Maun from Gaborone around 10:30pm police found the young man in possession of a bag containing the wrappings. Investigating the case, Dibete Police Station commander, Superintendent Meshack Ranku said the wrappings have a street value of P50,000.

“The substances will be taken for weighing and analysis to determine if indeed it's dagga and confirm its weight. The suspect is currently in police custody pending investigation,” Ranku said.
