Tshole finds solace in murals

FRANCISTOWN: After years of focusing on drawing and painting, prolific fine artist Rachel Tshole has shifted her focus to sharpen her skills on mural and charcoal art.

Mural art is painting applied to and made integral with the surface of a wall or ceiling. The painting is inherently different from all other forms of pictorial art in that it is organically connected with architecture.

Speaking to Arts and Culture, the talented unmistakable artist, 24-year-old Tshole said she chose to enhance her skills on mural art because she grew interest in it and its potential in the market. Tshole ventured into commercial art in 2018 when she was just 20-years-old. “I’ve always wanted to experiment with graffiti and paint on walls different things to enhance my skills,” she added.
