The artist, brought by Fables in partnership with MTN Business, left his fans yearning for more at Duma FM grounds this past weekend. Nigerian music, particularly Afrobeats, is having a moment in the entertainment industry. Tekno is the second Nigerian artist to perform in Botswana in a space of a week. His friend and homie, Davido could not make his impact last week and it was now up to Tekno to bring the house down.
The appetite for Nigerian music is already high in Botswana and Tekno was exactly what the doctor ordered after last week’s minor relapse. He arrived on stage after midnight and his fans were waiting in anticipation to see the award-winning singer. Ladies were shouting non-stop, as they sang along and bopped to his songs like Yawa and Rara. Tekno knew the right button to press and it was not long before he performed one of his most popular songs called Diana and Tekno’s energetic performance took them away into cloud nine.
