Taste of Africa cultural event aims unity

Taste of Africa, a food and music cultural event with the aim of uniting Africans will be held at the Royal Aria Stadium in Tlokweng on April 30, 2022.

The event spokesperson, Mercy Ramojela said they will have various African artists performing and various African food cuisines being offered for sale to allow people to taste and experience other African delicacies. "Taste of Africa is hosted by Kenramzzy Media, a local media company owned by me and my husband Dr Kennedy Ramojela. What makes us different from other cultural events is that various African cuisines will be sold at the event. We will have various artistes from Africa performing at the event.

We target the entire family and not just the youth. We are selling an African experience not just music alone,” she revealed. Furthermore, Ramojela explained that activities lined up for the event included food tasting, music performances and best dressed persons competition. There will also be African games, kiddies’ corners with kiddies’ games. She added that the final line-up will be released by March. So far Culture Spears is the only band announced and others will be announced every week until March.
