As many people celebrate Valentine’s Day today (February 14, 2025), Zannel Sealetsa has decided to seize the moment to publicly launch her new book titled, Single and Searching, through her different social media platforms.

She explained to Arts&Culture that the book was published by iReason Publishers (Pty) Ltd in Gaborone. “We will release and launch on Valentine’s Day, as it is the day for lovers and those in relationships. As a single woman, it is also time to celebrate self, celebrate the status quo and celebrate this season that beckons love and happiness and above all, hope. After reading this book, the individual will discover that it is time to get set and ready to find love, without losing self along the way,” Sealetsa explained. “Single and Searching as the name connotes, was birthed after realising that there are many singles who deeply yearn for love. Others are ripe for love whilst others are ‘bitten’ or smitten’ by the so-called love,” she added. The book comprises 95 pages with 12 chapters.

Sealetsa pointed out that the book is ideal for single people, the divorced and the widows who are ready to find love. She added that it also targeted both the young and the old. She explained that her book is self-reflection and motivational that promotes self-love. She also said it promoted self-discovery of inner beauty. “It has been a long journey of writing this book where I had to change chapters, getting into a journey of finding what is really right for life-transforming encounters for singles! It is my first baby, my first book. More books are obviously coming from my stable to address several issues in family life, relationships and mental health,” she confidently said. Moreover, she said she has already started on the second one, which she also dearly holds close to her heart. She further pointed out that the chapters in the book breathed life and love to her hence her love for all of them. speaking of the topics and subject matters delivered in the various chapters, she said they were very profound and worth reading. Sealetsa describes herself as a woman and a vessel sent by God to mend the brokenhearted and bring hope to the lost through varied platforms professionally as a counsellor, socially and lately as an author. Being a professional counsellor, a mental wellness and/health mentor, a motivational speaker and a trainer in emotional intelligence and related areas, she said she used her skills and penned them down in the book. She added that the most profound love in the modern world could be challenging.

She, however, pointed out that being single did not mean being lost. She said it was a transformative journey of understanding oneself, embracing singlehood and preparing for meaningful relationships without compromising one’s value or identity.
