Scaling music education down unwise

It is with deep sorrow and great sympathy that at this time (the millennium) there are still individuals who do not acknowledge the significance of the arts, more especially music. Music as a subject has different dimensions out of which various portions of the term ‘music’ find refuge in their circles.

 

As a music educator I am concerned about the manner in which some policymakers in education have been treating the music.  As a subject there was a realisation of the need that music must be taught in schools.
