The Gaborone CBD streets will transform into an epicenter of vibrant activity when the Posh G2 Posh Series (Race Africa Gaborone CBD 2026 Circuit), a street racing event finally takes in May.

The event is expected to be a fusion of fashion, car racing and a showcase of luxurious lifestyle and music festival. Posh G2 Posh Series brings the dawn of a new era in Botswana’s luxury lifestyle and motorsport scene, an exclusive fusion of automotive excellence, high fashion, fine living, and world-class entertainment. Set in the heart of Gaborone, the circuit is earmarked to transform the city’s skyline into a pulsating motorsport arena where luxury meets speed, elegance meets adrenaline, and business meets celebration.

According to Pony Poomore of Company Posh Inc, the organisers of the event, the 2026 edition marks a defining chapter in Botswana’s journey towards global recognition as a motorsport and lifestyle destination within Africa and beyond. Poomore said the event will feature over 40 supercars, and expected to host about 2,000 high-net-worth tourists and motorsport enthusiasts from across South Africa, the SADC region and international, cementing Botswana’s position as a hub for premium sports tourism. "Beyond the race, the Posh Race Africa offers a weekend-long lifestyle festival, a curated blend of speed, sound, and sophistication. Guests will enjoy exclusive VIP lounges, luxury car showcases, champagne experiences, and live performances by internationally acclaimed artists and a lineup of Botswana’s most celebrated DJs and entertainers," Poomore said. "At its core, the circuit embodies innovation, elegance, and empowerment, merging motorsport excellence with Botswana’s growing creative and tourism economies.
