According to Miss Millennium 2008, Felicity Bogatsu, the pageantry is one of the most resilient pageants in the country. Bogatsu said it aims to give back to the community. She also explained that Miss Millennium is geared towards giving back to the community through a project chosen by the queen. For her part, Miss Millennium founder, Zenzel Hirschfeld, said they were happy to see the same sponsors continuing to sponsor the pageantry. She said this means they are doing something sell-able and making an impact to the lives of the community. She added that this year they selected 14 women who will be competing for the crown on March 2. However, she pointed out that selecting the finalists was not easy as a good number of women showed interest in the pageantry.
She said the pageantry attracted a number of women from different parts of the country such as Kweneng and as far as Maun. "This year we added Wellness Day to our calendar and it will be held on March 1 and everyone is invited. The following day we will have a Financial Literacy brunch. We will later on unveil our contestants to the Millennium Jazz Restaurant patrons. Our grand finale will be held on March 8 and entrance fee will be P70," she said. Hirschfeld further explained that they chose to host the grand finale on International Women's month promising to celebrate women's day in style. For her part, Miss Millennium first princess, Dorcus Choma, said the pageantry connected her with people she never imagined.
