Following nationwide auditions, The Miss Botswana organisers have released the top 30 contestants who will battle it out for the Miss Botswana 2026 crown.

The winner will succeed, reigning queen Masunga native Ruth Thomas. Thomas will represent Botswana at the 2026 73rd Miss World competition .

According to a press release from the pageant organisers, the announcement follows the “successful conclusion of nationwide auditions held across various regions of the country.”

“The final round of auditions took place this past Saturday, 20th December 2025 at Molapo Crossing, marking the end of an inspiring journery for young women driven by purpose, leadership and a commitment to making a difference.,” the statement further reads.


Based on information provided by the organisers, Miss Botswana 2026 auditions attracted talented young ladies from all corners of Botswana, each stepping forward to share their talent, ambitions, visions and purpose aligned with the Miss Botswana ethos of Beauty with a Purpose.

Adding a twist to this year’s competition the organisation introduced the Miss Botswana District Franchise, where the winners automatically made it into the Miss Botswana 2026 top 30.
