The future looks bright for local artist and DJ Latty, otherwise known as Leatile Motlhamme. Through the new turn of events, he recently struck a feature with South African splash music group, Dalom Kids for his remix single, Dithuthuntshwane.

The song, which is due for release on June 28 also features Thato Tladi and Way Kay. It was engineered by Fella. In an interview with Arts&Culture, DJ Latty said he met Dalom Kids through a mutual colleague and informed them about his interest in working with them, to which they agreed. He explained that Sylvia Tshanda, the wife of the late Splash king Dan Tshanda and the group’s manager, saw Dithuthuntshwane snippet on his WhatsApp status and asked that Dalom Kids hop on it. “The song was written by Thato Tladi, he writes people’s experiences not necessarily his own, so that means when he heard the beat, a breakup was the first thing that came into his mind. Dalom Kids added to what Thato had already created with the Dithuthuntshwane original song. Working with Dalom Kids was so smooth, no ego, no pompous attitude, just people who want to work. I would definitely love to work with them on another record, they expressed the same feeling,” he said.

Furthermore, he explained that the song will stream on all music platforms and radio. He added that it is special because it is one of the biggest features of his career adding that the process of making the song was beautiful and smooth. He also said he has grown to believe in himself even more saying he learnt to evolve in his career. He also said he was enjoying the evolution to being a DJ and changing his genre of music from Hip Hop to Amapiano.
