GIMC Successfully Hosts Champagne-fuelled Picnic

Champagne is supposed to open with that celebratory ‘pop’ sound and this was the order of the day at the GIMC champagne picnic held on Saturday at Purple Paradise in Oodi.

This sparkling wine is associated with quality and status, so the sound of a champagne cork popping has become synonymous with success.

While experts contend that a bottle of champagne opened with skill will make only a very small popping sound, patrons couldn’t care less because for it was time to enjoy bottles of Moët & Chandon.
