Gaborone International Music and Culture Week begins

The city will be abuzz with activity, catering for different tastes, from music and poetry to comedy, when the Gaborone International Music and Culture (GIMC) Week starts on Wednesday.

The week being the first of its kind, safe for Maitisong Festival, opens on Wednesday with a poetry show at Botswanacraft.  The lineup boasts of acts including renowned poet TJ Dema, Mandisa Mabuthoe, Poet Circle, and Motsepe.

Thursday will bring choral music lovers a treat to a night of sweet melodies, as some of the best choirs are billed to perform at Mantlwaneng (Westwood School).
