The event was designed to express gratitude for the continued trust and support of the Bank’s clientele while showcasing the bank’s dedication to promoting local entrepreneurs and Botswana’s thriving craft beverage industry. Themed “A Day in the Greek Islands – Gin Edition,” clients were treated to a variety of gins on offer, along with Greek-inspired cuisine and décor. Clients also enjoyed experiential corners that were themed along the bank’s unique current account and digital banking offerings. There was the ultimate destination lounge experience that was set up as a mini airport lounge to showcase Standard Chartered cards and digital banking benefits. Then there was the Rewards Corner that allowed clients to preview the selection of merchandise available on the 360 Rewards platform. The soirée featured a curated selection of premium international and local gin brands, including the celebrated Okavango Gin, allowing guests to explore the rich flavours and distinct profiles of the homegrown spirit.
This thoughtful selection underlined Standard Chartered Bank’s commitment to fostering local talent and strengthening community ties. Guests were treated to an enlightening gin educational talk, exploring the history and nuances of gin distillation, followed by an interactive cocktail mixology Masterclass. The hands-on session allowed attendees to experiment with unique flavour pairings, enhancing the celebratory atmosphere with creativity and flair. “We are honoured to celebrate our clients in such a unique and memorable way,” said Peo Motshegare, Head of Client Experience and Client Care at Standard Chartered Bank. I hope our clients truly appreciated the immersive experience that reminded them of the benefits of being a Standard Chartered client,” Motshegare said. The engagement reinforced the bank’s role as both a trusted financial partner and an advocate for local enterprises, blending elegance with purpose to create a lasting impact on clients and the broader community.
