Peggy* is a graduate, earning a good salary, independent, and driving herself in a portable machine she acquired from a multi-national car dealer not situated anywhere in Mogoditshane.

Like many of her peers in the middle-class, she has two kids, has big dreams, and has cut ties with her village relatives, including the uncles, whose economic status are way below hers.

Her firstborn is attending junior secondary school, whilst the youngest is doing standard two at an English Medium School. The ‘baby daddy’ of the first child lives hundreds of kilometers away and is not as successful as Peggy, and they have long separated.
