Buru’Vera, Captain Lulaz turn dreams into sound with Zviroto

Meaning “dreams” in Shona, Zviroto explores what it means to keep believing in a future that has not yet arrived. For Buru’Vera, the track speaks to vision, ambition and the determination to leave a lasting mark while taking Botswana’s sound beyond its borders.

For Captain Lulaz, however, the song carries a more personal weight. She wrote it during a difficult period in her life, when hope felt distant and simply getting through each day had become an achievement.
