Local songstress, Amantle Brown is eyeing her first international award following her nomination in the African Music Industry (AMI) awards under the Best Female Southern Artist. The awards will be held in Senegal on March 24, 2018.

The Black Mampatile singer told Arts & Culture that she was not aware of the awards until she received a call from a lady telling her about the nomination. She noted that her Yotube videos gave her a lot exposure, something that led to the international recognition.

“This nomination means that I am more marketable than before and it is an opportunity for international collaborations because I will interact with various artists during the awards ceremony.”
