Ganetsang sheds off 44kgs

It took a long 12 months of dedication, hard work and perseverance for 32-year-old Kelebogile Ganetsang to finally achieve her goal.

Hers' was no ordinary goal.  She had to shed off a massive 44 kg of weight to get back to an ideal Body Mass Index (BMI).  During the 12 months she dropped down six sizes from 48-36.  Narrating her inspiring story to The Monitor on Friday evening at Superfit Gym in Molapo Crossing where she trains, one can certainly believe that any task is possible provided the mind is in the perfect mode.

Ganetsang said naturally she had an above average body size from childhood, believed in the Setswana culture to signify good growth and well-being of a child, making the elders proud that they have a 'big girl.'  She said growing up, she was not really worried about her weight and did nothing to try and control it because she was told she was 'big boned.'
