Behind the scenes: Isibaya, Zabalaza, Rockville

Nothing beats going behind the scenes of a production and getting to see first hand how things are done, from who does what, to how he/she does it until it reaches the final stage when everything is packaged and presented to viewers.

Recently I experienced this as a part of a media group hosted by MultiChoice in Johannesburg, South Africa. The group comprised media people from Southern African countries that included Botswana, Namibia, Swaziland, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Malawi.

 The trip offered a showcase for ‘journos’ into some of the top local productions on the Mzansi Magic Channels as well as others from M-Net.

Calls to officialise sign language overdue

At home, Botswana is still lagging in many aspects despite some steps taken to fix the situation. Those living with disabilities are often ignored and shut out from basic rights, access to services, or social participation.
