Orange Botswana Slashes International Roaming By 50%

Recently Orange Botswana Cellular network issued a public statement announcing new tariff charges for roaming.

While this public disclosure is without doubt long overdue, Orange Botswana deserves the applause for being the first cellular phone company to come out and explain international roaming rates to the public.

It is interesting to learn that upon entering the respective countries and connecting to their network, Orange customers shall receive an SMS communication detailing the pricing structure for voice, data and SMS for the particular zones.

The Botswana Examination Council (BEC) released the BGCSE results for students who sat for Form 5 examinations in 2024.Whilst initially BEC released that only 3,673 candidates scored 36 points and above, the number was corrected to 6,521 during a press conference, which was held on Friday at the BEC boardroom.The set cut-off for government sponsorship is 36 points and sadly this means that only 6,521 will be eligible for the support and the...
