The company is currently executing major projects in Botswana.We are committed to our employees opportunities to develop their careers within the company and we are therefore proud to offer a career advancement opportunity for the position mentioned below:Maintenance SpecialistJob PurposeReporting to the Asset Operations Manager, with a high focus on safety, the incumbent will improve reliability and availability of the EMV fleet by leading and assessing the maintenance plan and team effectiveness. The maintenance specialist will be accountable for managing the coordination of personnel, equipment and resources to complete maintenance activities timeously and safely. The incumbent will also be expected to lead, assist and support the maintenance team in solving technical and operational problems. The incumbent should have an understanding of Key Performance Indicators of Earth Moving Equipment.Key areas of ResponsibilityThe incumbent will be responsible for the following duties, such as, but not limited to:Equipment MaintenanceProvide assurance on safe and effective repair and maintenance standards performed on machines and components at mining sites.Take part in assembling and commissioning of machines deployed to mining sites.Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on heavy plant equipment, including excavators, loaders, dozers, and other mining machinery.Troubleshoot, inspect and diagnose machinery and components including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic control systems, engines, transmission drive systems etc to resolve complex problems.Participate in the development and modifications of systems in all phases of the machines life cycle for product improvement realizations.Safety ComplianceAdhere to safety regulations and guidelines during all maintenance and repair activities.Conduct safety checks on equipment and work areas to identify and mitigate potential hazards.Record KeepingSubmit accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment status.Provide equipment performance and condition status to inform predetermined condition-based interventions.CollaborationProvide technical recommendations based on analysis of reliability input drivers.Render technical advice, support and mentoring to mining site maintenance teams.Provide instruction and training to operating personnel.Liaise with Original Equipment Manufacturers in resolving technical challengesRequired Technical Skills, Training & ExperienceTen years experience as a Heavy Plant Mechanic in a mining or heavy equipment environment.NCC trade qualification or equivalent certification in heavy equipment mamaintenance.Understanding of safety protocols and regulations in the mining industry.Physical fitness for heavy equipment maintenance tasks.Ability to read and understand schematics and technical drawings and to effectively communicate detailed and complex information in a clear and concise manner.Work experience in the equivalent role of technical analyst with leading OEMs of mining equipment such as Liebherr, Komatsu, Bell and Caterpillar.Demonstrated diagnostic and troubleshooting skills as well as post failure analysis on warranty related activities.Deep industry and product knowledge in the fields of electrics, electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics and control systems.Suitable candidate should submit their applications enclosing detailed CV, certified academic qualifications, identity documents and contactable references to;Email:
