Wilderness entices Africans to get on safaris

Although the word safari was born in Africa, nowadays a safari experience has become a pastime of the few affluent westerners that can afford the steep prices charged at exclusive expedition destinations across the continent.

But Wilderness Safaris, a leading local tourist company that specialises in exclusive wildlife experiences with a footprint in top pristine areas in nine African countries, plans to give more Africans access to their resorts at affordable rates.

Last week Friday at the Yacht Club in Gaborone Wilderness Safaris group chief executive officer (CEO) Keith Vincent launched the residents’ programme that he said is “generous, transparent and easy to use”.
