Wharton Business school coming to Botswana

From May 10 to 14, 2010 at the Botswana Bureau of Standards (BOBS) Conference Centre, the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, the No. 1 ranked business school in the world, will be conducting an intensive week-long executive education seminar exclusively for CEOs of Botswana's top-listed, non-listed and parastatal companies.

Wharton 2010 is the inaugural programme of the Botswana International Business School Seminar (BIBSS).
"Inspired by the Botswana Excellence Strategy on Diversification and Sustainable Growth, BIBSS is a non-profit private sector-driven organisation created in collaboration with the Education HUB to bring leading edge executive education from the world's best business schools to Botswana to enhance the capacity of our business leaders to grow and diversify the economy," explained BIBSS founder and Chairman, Philip Fischer.

Every year, 10,000 leaders of companies from around the world attend one or more of the 230 Executive Education Programs conducted at the Wharton School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. In addition, Wharton's Global Initiatives programme delivers executive education in Asia, India, Europe and the Middle East. "BIBSS is the very first executive education programme that the Wharton School has ever conducted in Africa and to mark the occasion, Wharton is sending their A team."
