Fuel and lubricants supplier, Total Botswana, will host the first ever Botswana Mining workshop at the end of the month.

The event aims to showcase Total’s mining solution products and allow stakeholders to interact with the company’s specialist mining team.

One of the organisers, Melissa Padia, said Total was also searching for new business opportunities, adding that it will showcase the company’s unique offering to the Botswana mining sector.

Although the key speakers are yet to be confirmed, about 50 delegates are expected to attend the event that will be held at the Grand Palm Resort in Gaborone.

“We wish to create a solid partnership with our customers, through tailored products and services, so you can fully dedicate yourselves to your core mining operations business,” she said. Padia explained that the main agenda would be focused on the company’s mining solutions products and services, as well as the state of mining in southern Africa.

Total Botswana operates as a fuel and lubricants marketing company and is part a wholly owned subsidiary of Total South Africa. It has 14 filling stations in Botswana.

The company also has a depot in Gaborone for storing fuel and lubricants. The depot has rail and road transport facilities to receive stock, while all the deliveries are made via road transport.
