Solomon denies dumping campaign

The Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) candidate for Mahalapye West Mmika Solomon has refuted allegations that he has dumped the constituency and is nowhere to be found. Solomon is alleged to have skipped the country to South Africa, where it is reported he is seeking asylum.

However, the journalist-cum-politician told Mmegi yesterday that he was on his way back home from South Africa where he had gone to write an examination.

“As we speak, I am crossing the border into Botswana. I have not dumped the campaign, or the constituency,” he said yesterday.
